Welsh Government strategy on the internal use of the Welsh language. Welsh is spoken for cultural, commercial, social and emotional reasons, but it is also a vocational skill – a skill that should be better recognised and utilised. As a result the Welsh Government has already committed to “… Welsh by our own workforce” (Theme 2 Increasing the Use of Welsh, chapter 6 The Workplace). There is an onus on us to take proactive steps to support and increase the use of the language, and to pass it on to future generations. The First Minister has also pledged to “mainstream” the Welsh language into the development of policy and to the way we work more generally. So our goal is that the Welsh Government should gradually become a truly bilingual organisation; one in which it is routine for the Welsh and English languages to both be used naturally and interchangeably. This will enable staff to work in Welsh from day to day and there will be a significant increase in the use of the language as a result. This is the Welsh Government’s vision for the Welsh language in Wales (Cymraeg 2050: A million Welsh speakers, Welsh Government, 2017). It is to see, by 2050, a million speakers using the language in every aspect of their lives, and doubling the percentage of people in Wales who speak and use the language daily. The Welsh language – y Gymraeg – is integral to our culture, our heritage and our daily lives. An important part of the vision involves renewing the association between the language and the workplace. Implementing that vision will involve generational change, halting the decline of the last century. Set in this context, the Welsh Government’s goal for the Welsh language within the organisation is that by 2050 all staff working for the Welsh Government will be able to understand Welsh. This file may not be fully accessible. The year 2050: the Welsh language is thriving, the number of speakers has reached a million, and it is used in every aspect of life. Mae’r ddogfen yma hefyd ar gael yn Gymraeg. This is something we can all do together. But its future across Wales cannot be taken for granted. We are proud of the Welsh language and want it to thrive. It is part of our shared inheritance and identity as a nation.

gold and sterling silverIt is something that can unite us as a nation. The language is not exclusive to those who can speak it today. But while some are comfortable speaking Welsh – more often than not as the language was passed on to them by their families – many are not. Eventually a choice of language will be available operationally within the organisation, meaning we will be able to routinely choose whether to communicate (orally and in writing) in Welsh or English, or indeed both. Our strategy on the use of Welsh in the workplace is, in many respects, set by the political direction and legal framework that have already been established; to promote the language and to increase its use. With that in mind this strategy is underpinned by the following principles. We know that what we do within the Welsh Government will influence other parts of the public sector in Wales. This has relevance that goes beyond being able to provide all outward facing services and internal formal communications in both languages. We need to establish a common understanding that the Welsh language belongs to us all whatever our linguistic background. This is especially the case in so far as those learning Welsh in our schools are concerned, who should understand that the language will be a useful skill for them in the workplace. We are conscious of how using Welsh in the workplace can give the language more purpose and relevance. However, we are conscious also that steps taken to increase use of the language must be reasonable and proportionate, which means that becoming a bilingual organisation will involve change that happens gradually. It is important to be clear what is meant by a bilingual organisation. Remaining an open, inclusive and diverse organisation: everyone has the potential to be a Welsh speaker and this strategy does not conflict with our commitment to being open, inclusive and diverse – although Welsh language skills will progressively be needed for more posts, developing a bilingual workforce does not mean (or imply) those skills being a universal pre-requisite for joining the Welsh Government. This is why our long term goal is to become a bilingual organisation. Statistics show that 86% of people across Wales feel that the language is something to be proud of. Investing in staff and providing opportunities to learn Welsh and develop language skills: it is crucial that effective and convenient training is provided, with people given both time and motivation to continuously improve their Welsh language skills. Making a long term commitment and leading the way: change will be incremental and will happen over time, but we intend to lead by example in the way we promote use of the language in the workplace.

The Insider Secrets For “sterling Silver Thailand Ring Designs” Exposed

A mother who used a maternity bracelet tracker to keep an eye on her baby’s movement throughout her pregnancy claims the accessory prevented her daughter from being stillborn. Lyndsey Thompson, 30, who lives in Telford, Shropshire, admitted herself to hospital a week before her due date after she noticed her unborn child’s activity had drastically slowed down. The mother-of-two claims her daughter may have died due to complications she experienced during her pregnancy, but the fate was avoided by her early admission and induced birth. I was so busy even at lunchtime and by the time I got to the end of the day I wouldn’t be able to remember what movements I’ve had. It was great having that reassurance and to know I wasn’t wasting the doctors’ time. Having the bracelet reassured me that I’d had a certain number of movements. I definitely credit it for ensuring she made it safely into the world because I was worried something was going to go wrong. Lyndsey experienced a number of complications throughout her pregnancy including respiratory problems and having to take antibiotics after catching a sickness bug. The mother-of-two, who is married to engineer Christopher, 33, used a prototype of the Aska Maternity Movement Bracelet. The bracelet features a small loop and charm that the wearer slips across each bead on the bracelet every time the baby moves. Lyndsey Thompson, 30, who lives in Telford, Shropshire, explained how a maternity movement bracelet tracker helped to prevent the stillbirth of her daughter. Lyndsey said: ‘When I was pregnant with my first I tried a phone app to track movements but obviously you can’t have a phone at school. At my 20-week scan my midwife offered me a bracelet that was being used in trials as I’d mentioned reduced movement in my first pregnancy. It gave me the confidence to go to the doctors with my concerns because I had proof from the bracelet and could tell them exactly how many times she’d moved. Also mum to six-year-old Chloe, Lyndsey had previously used a phone app to track movements but found the bracelet more practical as she was able to wear it and easily log on the go. Teacher Lyndsey, who is married to Christopher Thompson, 33, revealed that she began using a bracelet to track her baby’s movement because she couldn’t use her phone while at school. Lyndsey said: ‘The bracelet saved my baby’s life. Lyndsey said: ‘As the weeks went on, past the 20-week point, I felt the movements were getting less and less. NHS guidance states that if mothers-to-be notice their baby is moving less than usual, or there’s a change in the pattern of movements, it may be the first sign their baby is unwell. Lyndsey was induced by doctors at Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, after they examined her and checked the baby’s heart. The NHS also urges mums-to-be to contact a midwife or local maternity unit immediately if the baby’s movements have slowed down so their wellbeing can be assessed. Lyndsey who is keeping the bracelet as a keepsake, said she would definitely recommend it to other expectant mothers. Doctors examined Lyndsey, monitored the baby’s heart and decided to induce her due to the numerous issues she’d faced during the pregnancy. Lyndsey, who noticed her baby moving less around the 20-week point, said a scan revealed her baby was slightly on the low side in terms of movement. Lyndsey said: ‘I would normally have between six and eight movements a day, when I was only having three and it was later in the day I decided to get it checked out. Lyndsey admits she had sleepless nights worrying that something would go wrong during her pregnancy. Lyndsey had already faced numerous complications in the pregnancy including respiratory problems due to her severe asthma and having to be put on antibiotics throughout after catching sickness bugs. But when she noticed that Emily’s movements started to slow down at 34 weeks, concerned doctors took growth scans every few weeks to monitor her progress. When Lyndsey noticed she wasn’t moving the bracelet charm as often due to reduced movement a week before her due date, she decided to go to Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

This choice will be made possible by all staff being able to at least understand Welsh. Learning Welsh and facilitating its use by Welsh speakers in day to day work will be a business need across the organisation, and line managers will need to adhere to that principle by demonstrating personal leadership. Both of these will be required, as – crucially – is plenty of time and support to adapt. Our goal is to become a bilingual organisation by 2050, but over the first 5 years our objective is to see the Welsh Government become an exemplar organisation in increasing internal use of the language when assessed against comparable public sector organisations in Wales. The renewed focus on the language is to be led not just at the political level but also by senior officials. We want and need more Welsh Government staff to have Welsh language skills they can use in the workplace. As well as setting a long term 2050 goal we are also setting a shorter term objective for the period up to 2025 and 10 actions designed to help meet that objective. The principle of continuous improvement over the long term will be based on the scale currently used to assess Welsh language skills. They will be expected to lead by example in promoting use of the language and making its importance to the organisation clear. One of the most fundamental elements to the success of this strategy will be the learning and development on offer to staff across all levels of proficiency. Our focus will be on encouraging people to learn and to continuously improve. This strategy envisages reaching its goal more than 30 years from now, so for obvious reasons it will need to be periodically reviewed and changed. Our goal is to allow staff increased opportunities to acquire and then use their Welsh language skills in the workplace, and eventually allow for language choice. They will help others to use, learn and improve their Welsh language skills – and develop skills of their own. We envisage a process under which the strategy and changes in policy adopted under it are reviewed every 5 years. This will of course take time and will require a long term commitment (firstly) to continuously improving our language skills and (secondly) to developing a working culture that understands and respects bilingualism. These, in turn, contribute to reaching the 2050 goal. The shorter term objective will be reviewed in 2025 and a new objective and associated actions will be set for the following 5 year period – a process that will continue until the 2050 goal is reached. This can be done in 2 ways; by existing staff starting to learn or improve and by more recruitment of those who already have Welsh language skills.

There are several diamond stores in Chicago that offer amazing bracelet collection on diamonds at a reasonable rate. Such a fashion statement is often fastened with a clasp or is found strung on elastic that slips over the wrist. The slide is a type of open-frame clasp through which a chain or ribbon can be passed, thus giving a shape of a bracelet. The front of the slide is often elaborated whereas the back portion is featured with one or two vertical bars. For example the Victorian slides like engraved pieces, tiny watches, and even miniature portraits. Designers like Georg Jensen and David Yurman became quite famous for this extraordinary creation. Welsh Government strategy on the internal use of the Welsh language. It is part of our shared inheritance and identity as a nation. This is something we can all do together. Mae’r ddogfen yma hefyd ar gael yn Gymraeg. This file may not be fully accessible. An important part of the vision involves renewing the association between the language and the workplace. We are proud of the Welsh language and want it to thrive. Welsh is spoken for cultural, commercial, social and emotional reasons, but it is also a vocational skill – a skill that should be better recognised and utilised. The year 2050: the Welsh language is thriving, the number of speakers has reached a million, and it is used in every aspect of life. But its future across Wales cannot be taken for granted. This will enable staff to work in Welsh from day to day and there will be a significant increase in the use of the language as a result. So our goal is that the Welsh Government should gradually become a truly bilingual organisation; one in which it is routine for the Welsh and English languages to both be used naturally and interchangeably. The Welsh language – y Gymraeg – is integral to our culture, our heritage and our daily lives. As a result the Welsh Government has already committed to “… Welsh by our own workforce” (Theme 2 Increasing the Use of Welsh, chapter 6 The Workplace). There is an onus on us to take proactive steps to support and increase the use of the language, and to pass it on to future generations. Set in this context, the Welsh Government’s goal for the Welsh language within the organisation is that by 2050 all staff working for the Welsh Government will be able to understand Welsh. Implementing that vision will involve generational change, halting the decline of the last century. The First Minister has also pledged to “mainstream” the Welsh language into the development of policy and to the way we work more generally.

This is why our long term goal is to become a bilingual organisation.

It is something that can unite us as a nation. We need to establish a common understanding that the Welsh language belongs to us all whatever our linguistic background. It is important to be clear what is meant by a bilingual organisation. This is especially the case in so far as those learning Welsh in our schools are concerned, who should understand that the language will be a useful skill for them in the workplace. The language is not exclusive to those who can speak it today. We are conscious of how using Welsh in the workplace can give the language more purpose and relevance. This is why our long term goal is to become a bilingual organisation. However, we are conscious also that steps taken to increase use of the language must be reasonable and proportionate, which means that becoming a bilingual organisation will involve change that happens gradually. We know that what we do within the Welsh Government will influence other parts of the public sector in Wales. With that in mind this strategy is underpinned by the following principles. But while some are comfortable speaking Welsh – more often than not as the language was passed on to them by their families – many are not. Our strategy on the use of Welsh in the workplace is, in many respects, set by the political direction and legal framework that have already been established; to promote the language and to increase its use. This has relevance that goes beyond being able to provide all outward facing services and internal formal communications in both languages. Eventually a choice of language will be available operationally within the organisation, meaning we will be able to routinely choose whether to communicate (orally and in writing) in Welsh or English, or indeed both.

This choice will be made possible by all staff being able to at least understand Welsh. Our goal is to become a bilingual organisation by 2050, but over the first 5 years our objective is to see the Welsh Government become an exemplar organisation in increasing internal use of the language when assessed against comparable public sector organisations in Wales. We want and need more Welsh Government staff to have Welsh language skills they can use in the workplace. This can be done in 2 ways; by existing staff starting to learn or improve and by more recruitment of those who already have Welsh language skills. As well as setting a long term 2050 goal we are also setting a shorter term objective for the period up to 2025 and 10 actions designed to help meet that objective. Both of these will be required, as – crucially – is plenty of time and support to adapt. The shorter term objective will be reviewed in 2025 and a new objective and associated actions will be set for the following 5 year period – a process that will continue until the 2050 goal is reached. These, in turn, contribute to reaching the 2050 goal. They will be expected to lead by example in promoting use of the language and making its importance to the organisation clear. This strategy envisages reaching its goal more than 30 years from now, so for obvious reasons it will need to be periodically reviewed and changed. Learning Welsh and facilitating its use by Welsh speakers in day to day work will be a business need across the organisation, and line managers will need to adhere to that principle by demonstrating personal leadership. The principle of continuous improvement over the long term will be based on the scale currently used to assess Welsh language skills. The renewed focus on the language is to be led not just at the political level but also by senior officials. One of the most fundamental elements to the success of this strategy will be the learning and development on offer to staff across all levels of proficiency. Our focus will be on encouraging people to learn and to continuously improve. Our goal is to allow staff increased opportunities to acquire and then use their Welsh language skills in the workplace, and eventually allow for language choice.

“celebrity Jewelry” Secrets

"sterling silver tiffany cross charm"Aug 24 (Reuters) – U.S. Shares of Signet rose 23 percent to $63.74 in morning trading, while Tiffany was marginally up at $88.77. While shoppers have been shunning traditional jewelry such as solitaire engagement rings, there has been a marked shift towards brands that offer a more contemporary look such as the Tiffany Hardware collection and products from Pandora A/S , which are sold at Signet’s Jared stores. Tiffany & Co and Signet Jewelers Ltd reported bigger-than-expected quarterly sales and profit, helped by strong demand for their high-margin bracelets, rings, necklaces and branded jewelry. Analysts on average had expected Tiffany to post sales of $930.3 million and Signet $1.33 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S. Tiffany and Signet have shaken up their management and hired outsiders to fill important roles such as CEOs and chief designers, to give their brands a new look. Tiffany signed on pop star Lady Gaga to launch the Tiffany Hardware collection, which features items like the $13,500 Wrap necklace in 18k gold, while Signet sells items like the $10,999 Le Vian diamond earrings in 14k pink gold at its stores. Tiffany, which gets about 15 percent of its revenue from Japan, said overall sales rose 3 percent to $959.7 million in the reported quarter, while Signet’s rose 1.9 percent to $1.40 billion. Signet’s new Chief Executive Virginia Drosos started her role earlier this month, while Tiffany’s new CEO Alessandro Bogliolo will join in October this year. New York-based Tiffany said it also benefited from higher sales of wholesale diamonds and increased spending in Japan. Danish jeweler Pandora’s shares were up 2 percent in Copenhagen. Both the retailers beat analysts’ average estimates by the widest margins since October last year. Tiffany attributed its sales growth to strong demand for its high-end jewelry, such as the Tiffany T collection, while Signet said higher-priced branded jewelry sold better than lower-priced brands. Tiffany’s earnings came in at 92 cents per share, while Signet reported a profit of $1.33 per share.

However this will be amended to introduce a new minimum level of “courtesy” Welsh and to more accurately reflect the notion of being able to understand written and spoken Welsh (which is what we need to enable bilingual working). This will promote the value of the Welsh language to the organisation, and provide staff with a flexible and adaptable programme to address agreed organisational needs. This means that we must have regard to initiatives already pursued by other public bodies. The context for the Welsh Government becoming an exemplar organisation is that we are already committed to “leading by example” in so far as our internal use of Welsh is concerned. However, we need to bear in mind, firstly, that this is a long term strategy and, secondly, that (although this has not been done consciously) our recruitment processes have at times put insufficient emphasis on the importance of Welsh language skills. There have in recent years been only limited opportunities to recruit new staff and we do not expect this to change significantly any time soon. The programme will acknowledge the fact that people learn differently by offering a range of learning methods, including face-to-face classes, e-learning, informal group conversations, mentoring and online networks. In countries such as Canada, Belgium, Switzerland and the Basque Country working in two or more languages is considered to be normal and an inherent part of modern, representative government. Governments and other organisations in many countries already operate bilingually (or even multilingually) and what we propose for the Welsh Government is far from unique. We also intend to make better use of technology to produce Welsh language material without always necessarily having to send work to translation services. We will develop an innovative and wide-ranging choice of training. This will be made easier by increases in the number of Welsh speakers in society, in particular as more pupils leave school with improved skills. Our starting point will be to continue to aim to recruit the best people regardless of their background, with new staff being welcomed and supported to improve their Welsh language skills. The process of determining the actions in Chapter 3 has been informed by comparative analysis and most of the actions replicate existing good practice elsewhere in Wales (or internationally). It has also been an important feature of European institutions. However we will over time also need to recruit more people who already have Welsh language skills. We will focus on use of technology to make it easier to work in Welsh.

Welsh Government strategy on the internal use of the Welsh language. So our goal is that the Welsh Government should gradually become a truly bilingual organisation; one in which it is routine for the Welsh and English languages to both be used naturally and interchangeably. It is part of our shared inheritance and identity as a nation. As a result the Welsh Government has already committed to “… Welsh by our own workforce” (Theme 2 Increasing the Use of Welsh, chapter 6 The Workplace). But its future across Wales cannot be taken for granted. The First Minister has also pledged to “mainstream” the Welsh language into the development of policy and to the way we work more generally. Set in this context, the Welsh Government’s goal for the Welsh language within the organisation is that by 2050 all staff working for the Welsh Government will be able to understand Welsh. Mae’r ddogfen yma hefyd ar gael yn Gymraeg. Welsh is spoken for cultural, commercial, social and emotional reasons, but it is also a vocational skill – a skill that should be better recognised and utilised. The Welsh language – y Gymraeg – is integral to our culture, our heritage and our daily lives. This file may not be fully accessible. This is something we can all do together. The year 2050: the Welsh language is thriving, the number of speakers has reached a million, and it is used in every aspect of life. This will enable staff to work in Welsh from day to day and there will be a significant increase in the use of the language as a result. Implementing that vision will involve generational change, halting the decline of the last century. There is an onus on us to take proactive steps to support and increase the use of the language, and to pass it on to future generations. An important part of the vision involves renewing the association between the language and the workplace. We are proud of the Welsh language and want it to thrive.

It is something that can unite us as a nation. Investing in staff and providing opportunities to learn Welsh and develop language skills: it is crucial that effective and convenient training is provided, with people given both time and motivation to continuously improve their Welsh language skills. But while some are comfortable speaking Welsh – more often than not as the language was passed on to them by their families – many are not. We are conscious of how using Welsh in the workplace can give the language more purpose and relevance. With that in mind this strategy is underpinned by the following principles. Making a long term commitment and leading the way: change will be incremental and will happen over time, but we intend to lead by example in the way we promote use of the language in the workplace. This has relevance that goes beyond being able to provide all outward facing services and internal formal communications in both languages. The language is not exclusive to those who can speak it today. We know that what we do within the Welsh Government will influence other parts of the public sector in Wales. It is important to be clear what is meant by a bilingual organisation. However, we are conscious also that steps taken to increase use of the language must be reasonable and proportionate, which means that becoming a bilingual organisation will involve change that happens gradually. Our strategy on the use of Welsh in the workplace is, in many respects, set by the political direction and legal framework that have already been established; to promote the language and to increase its use. Eventually a choice of language will be available operationally within the organisation, meaning we will be able to routinely choose whether to communicate (orally and in writing) in Welsh or English, or indeed both. Statistics show that 86% of people across Wales feel that the language is something to be proud of. We need to establish a common understanding that the Welsh language belongs to us all whatever our linguistic background. This is especially the case in so far as those learning Welsh in our schools are concerned, who should understand that the language will be a useful skill for them in the workplace.

This choice will be made possible by all staff being able to at least understand Welsh. Our focus will be on encouraging people to learn and to continuously improve. They will be expected to lead by example in promoting use of the language and making its importance to the organisation clear. Learning Welsh and facilitating its use by Welsh speakers in day to day work will be a business need across the organisation, and line managers will need to adhere to that principle by demonstrating personal leadership. One of the most fundamental elements to the success of this strategy will be the learning and development on offer to staff across all levels of proficiency. Our goal is to allow staff increased opportunities to acquire and then use their Welsh language skills in the workplace, and eventually allow for language choice. We envisage a process under which the strategy and changes in policy adopted under it are reviewed every 5 years. Our goal is to become a bilingual organisation by 2050, but over the first 5 years our objective is to see the Welsh Government become an exemplar organisation in increasing internal use of the language when assessed against comparable public sector organisations in Wales. As well as setting a long term 2050 goal we are also setting a shorter term objective for the period up to 2025 and 10 actions designed to help meet that objective. We want and need more Welsh Government staff to have Welsh language skills they can use in the workplace. The principle of continuous improvement over the long term will be based on the scale currently used to assess Welsh language skills. The renewed focus on the language is to be led not just at the political level but also by senior officials. This can be done in 2 ways; by existing staff starting to learn or improve and by more recruitment of those who already have Welsh language skills. This strategy envisages reaching its goal more than 30 years from now, so for obvious reasons it will need to be periodically reviewed and changed. They will help others to use, learn and improve their Welsh language skills – and develop skills of their own. The shorter term objective will be reviewed in 2025 and a new objective and associated actions will be set for the following 5 year period – a process that will continue until the 2050 goal is reached. This will of course take time and will require a long term commitment (firstly) to continuously improving our language skills and (secondly) to developing a working culture that understands and respects bilingualism. These, in turn, contribute to reaching the 2050 goal. Both of these will be required, as – crucially – is plenty of time and support to adapt.
