Welsh Government strategy on the internal use of the Welsh language. The First Minister has also pledged to “mainstream” the Welsh language into the development of policy and to the way we work more generally. This is the Welsh Government’s vision for the Welsh language in Wales (Cymraeg 2050: A million Welsh speakers, Welsh Government, 2017). It is to see, by 2050, a million speakers using the language in every aspect of their lives, and doubling the percentage of people in Wales who speak and use the language daily. Welsh is spoken for cultural, commercial, social and emotional reasons, but it is also a vocational skill – a skill that should be better recognised and utilised. As a result the Welsh Government has already committed to “… Welsh by our own workforce” (Theme 2 Increasing the Use of Welsh, chapter 6 The Workplace). So our goal is that the Welsh Government should gradually become a truly bilingual organisation; one in which it is routine for the Welsh and English languages to both be used naturally and interchangeably. The year 2050: the Welsh language is thriving, the number of speakers has reached a million, and it is used in every aspect of life. Mae’r ddogfen yma hefyd ar gael yn Gymraeg. We are proud of the Welsh language and want it to thrive. This is something we can all do together. This will enable staff to work in Welsh from day to day and there will be a significant increase in the use of the language as a result. Set in this context, the Welsh Government’s goal for the Welsh language within the organisation is that by 2050 all staff working for the Welsh Government will be able to understand Welsh. An important part of the vision involves renewing the association between the language and the workplace. The Welsh language – y Gymraeg – is integral to our culture, our heritage and our daily lives. But its future across Wales cannot be taken for granted. Implementing that vision will involve generational change, halting the decline of the last century. This file may not be fully accessible. There is an onus on us to take proactive steps to support and increase the use of the language, and to pass it on to future generations. It is part of our shared inheritance and identity as a nation.

It is something that can unite us as a nation. This is especially the case in so far as those learning Welsh in our schools are concerned, who should understand that the language will be a useful skill for them in the workplace. We need to establish a common understanding that the Welsh language belongs to us all whatever our linguistic background. Investing in staff and providing opportunities to learn Welsh and develop language skills: it is crucial that effective and convenient training is provided, with people given both time and motivation to continuously improve their Welsh language skills. This has relevance that goes beyond being able to provide all outward facing services and internal formal communications in both languages. But while some are comfortable speaking Welsh – more often than not as the language was passed on to them by their families – many are not. This is why our long term goal is to become a bilingual organisation. We are conscious of how using Welsh in the workplace can give the language more purpose and relevance. However, we are conscious also that steps taken to increase use of the language must be reasonable and proportionate, which means that becoming a bilingual organisation will involve change that happens gradually. Remaining an open, inclusive and diverse organisation: everyone has the potential to be a Welsh speaker and this strategy does not conflict with our commitment to being open, inclusive and diverse – although Welsh language skills will progressively be needed for more posts, developing a bilingual workforce does not mean (or imply) those skills being a universal pre-requisite for joining the Welsh Government. The language is not exclusive to those who can speak it today. Statistics show that 86% of people across Wales feel that the language is something to be proud of. Making a long term commitment and leading the way: change will be incremental and will happen over time, but we intend to lead by example in the way we promote use of the language in the workplace. We know that what we do within the Welsh Government will influence other parts of the public sector in Wales. Eventually a choice of language will be available operationally within the organisation, meaning we will be able to routinely choose whether to communicate (orally and in writing) in Welsh or English, or indeed both. Our strategy on the use of Welsh in the workplace is, in many respects, set by the political direction and legal framework that have already been established; to promote the language and to increase its use. With that in mind this strategy is underpinned by the following principles. It is important to be clear what is meant by a bilingual organisation.

"sterling silver spoon ring"This choice will be made possible by all staff being able to at least understand Welsh. Our goal is to become a bilingual organisation by 2050, but over the first 5 years our objective is to see the Welsh Government become an exemplar organisation in increasing internal use of the language when assessed against comparable public sector organisations in Wales. This will of course take time and will require a long term commitment (firstly) to continuously improving our language skills and (secondly) to developing a working culture that understands and respects bilingualism. They will be expected to lead by example in promoting use of the language and making its importance to the organisation clear. They will help others to use, learn and improve their Welsh language skills – and develop skills of their own. As well as setting a long term 2050 goal we are also setting a shorter term objective for the period up to 2025 and 10 actions designed to help meet that objective. Our focus will be on encouraging people to learn and to continuously improve. Both of these will be required, as – crucially – is plenty of time and support to adapt. Our goal is to allow staff increased opportunities to acquire and then use their Welsh language skills in the workplace, and eventually allow for language choice. The principle of continuous improvement over the long term will be based on the scale currently used to assess Welsh language skills. We want and need more Welsh Government staff to have Welsh language skills they can use in the workplace. One of the most fundamental elements to the success of this strategy will be the learning and development on offer to staff across all levels of proficiency. We envisage a process under which the strategy and changes in policy adopted under it are reviewed every 5 years. This strategy envisages reaching its goal more than 30 years from now, so for obvious reasons it will need to be periodically reviewed and changed. Learning Welsh and facilitating its use by Welsh speakers in day to day work will be a business need across the organisation, and line managers will need to adhere to that principle by demonstrating personal leadership. The shorter term objective will be reviewed in 2025 and a new objective and associated actions will be set for the following 5 year period – a process that will continue until the 2050 goal is reached. These, in turn, contribute to reaching the 2050 goal. This can be done in 2 ways; by existing staff starting to learn or improve and by more recruitment of those who already have Welsh language skills. The renewed focus on the language is to be led not just at the political level but also by senior officials.

"sterling silver heart toggle necklace"However this will be amended to introduce a new minimum level of “courtesy” Welsh and to more accurately reflect the notion of being able to understand written and spoken Welsh (which is what we need to enable bilingual working). However we will over time also need to recruit more people who already have Welsh language skills. This will be made easier by increases in the number of Welsh speakers in society, in particular as more pupils leave school with improved skills. The process of determining the actions in Chapter 3 has been informed by comparative analysis and most of the actions replicate existing good practice elsewhere in Wales (or internationally). It has also been an important feature of European institutions. Governments and other organisations in many countries already operate bilingually (or even multilingually) and what we propose for the Welsh Government is far from unique. There have in recent years been only limited opportunities to recruit new staff and we do not expect this to change significantly any time soon. We will develop an innovative and wide-ranging choice of training. Our starting point will be to continue to aim to recruit the best people regardless of their background, with new staff being welcomed and supported to improve their Welsh language skills. We also intend to make better use of technology to produce Welsh language material without always necessarily having to send work to translation services. The programme will acknowledge the fact that people learn differently by offering a range of learning methods, including face-to-face classes, e-learning, informal group conversations, mentoring and online networks. In countries such as Canada, Belgium, Switzerland and the Basque Country working in two or more languages is considered to be normal and an inherent part of modern, representative government. This means that we must have regard to initiatives already pursued by other public bodies. The context for the Welsh Government becoming an exemplar organisation is that we are already committed to “leading by example” in so far as our internal use of Welsh is concerned. However, we need to bear in mind, firstly, that this is a long term strategy and, secondly, that (although this has not been done consciously) our recruitment processes have at times put insufficient emphasis on the importance of Welsh language skills. This will promote the value of the Welsh language to the organisation, and provide staff with a flexible and adaptable programme to address agreed organisational needs. We will focus on use of technology to make it easier to work in Welsh.

Charm Bracelets – Excellent Bracelets to Express your Personal Style

Most of the people around the world are interested to wear and purchase bracelets to express their personal style. During early periods, the charms or pendants were typically gems, rock, or wooden and were used by the wearer to either ward off enemies or reveal status within a civilization. While it is difficult to find a true date or era that the charm bracelet was first created, this jewelry style probably dates back at lease as far as ancient Egypt. The bracelets saw resurgence in the mid-2000s (along with a variation, the Italian charm bracelet). A Charm bracelet is a bracelet that is typically made of metal, with decorative pendants or trinkets hanging from it. While charm bracelets have been ever-present in more modern societies, their popularity faded after a boom in the mid nineteenth century. As time progressed, charms (https://backtoglamour.com/blog/2022/08/07/there-are-four-delta-medallion-status-tiers-silver/) became markers of milestones in a wearer’s life. There are many varieties of bracelets are available in the present market. These Charm bracelets and jewelry bracelets will play a significant role in function, parties and events.

Finally, there are some well established and experienced manufacturers of these charm bracelets and jewelry bracelets are selling through online. Do not stress though! A linked watch can be adjusted easily by a local jeweler but bracelets often cannot. If you do not have a ruler handy you can go by some general rules. However, you can simply measure your wrist with a string, mark it and then lay it next to a ruler or use a garment measuring tape in inches, since most bracelets sizes are shown in inches. Make sure to add ¾ to 1 inch to your measurement to allow for needed room. If you are petite, slender, etc. you can safely purchase a 7 inch bracelet to fit properly. When purchasing a bracelet, bangle, cuff or charms from Portia Jewelry, keep in mind that if it doesn’t fit properly, you can always exchange it! Many bracelets are sized at 7 1/2 inches and will also fit properly with a little needed room. If you are bigger-boned or plus-size you can most likely sport an 8 inch bracelet comfortably.

Mae’r ddogfen yma hefyd ar gael yn Gymraeg. The year 2050: the Welsh language is thriving, the number of speakers has reached a million, and it is used in every aspect of life. Welsh is spoken for cultural, commercial, social and emotional reasons, but it is also a vocational skill – a skill that should be better recognised and utilised. This is something we can all do together. This file may not be fully accessible. There is an onus on us to take proactive steps to support and increase the use of the language, and to pass it on to future generations. The First Minister has also pledged to “mainstream” the Welsh language into the development of policy and to the way we work more generally.

The language is not exclusive to those who can speak it today.

It is something that can unite us as a nation. We need to establish a common understanding that the Welsh language belongs to us all whatever our linguistic background. Our strategy on the use of Welsh in the workplace is, in many respects, set by the political direction and legal framework that have already been established; to promote the language and to increase its use. But while some are comfortable speaking Welsh – more often than not as the language was passed on to them by their families – many are not. However, we are conscious also that steps taken to increase use of the language must be reasonable and proportionate, which means that becoming a bilingual organisation will involve change that happens gradually. The language is not exclusive to those who can speak it today. With that in mind this strategy is underpinned by the following principles. It is important to be clear what is meant by a bilingual organisation. Investing in staff and providing opportunities to learn Welsh and develop language skills: it is crucial that effective and convenient training is provided, with people given both time and motivation to continuously improve their Welsh language skills. This is why our long term goal is to become a bilingual organisation. This is especially the case in so far as those learning Welsh in our schools are concerned, who should understand that the language will be a useful skill for them in the workplace. Eventually a choice of language will be available operationally within the organisation, meaning we will be able to routinely choose whether to communicate (orally and in writing) in Welsh or English, or indeed both. This has relevance that goes beyond being able to provide all outward facing services and internal formal communications in both languages. Making a long term commitment and leading the way: change will be incremental and will happen over time, but we intend to lead by example in the way we promote use of the language in the workplace. We know that what we do within the Welsh Government will influence other parts of the public sector in Wales. Statistics show that 86% of people across Wales feel that the language is something to be proud of. We are conscious of how using Welsh in the workplace can give the language more purpose and relevance.

The First Minister has also pledged to “mainstream” the Welsh language into the development of policy and to the way we work more generally. Implementing that vision will involve generational change, halting the decline of the last century.

This is especially the case in so far as those learning Welsh in our schools are concerned, who should understand that the language will be a useful skill for them in the workplace.

Our focus will be on encouraging people to learn and to continuously improve.

This choice will be made possible by all staff being able to at least understand Welsh. Both of these will be required, as – crucially – is plenty of time and support to adapt. We envisage a process under which the strategy and changes in policy adopted under it are reviewed every 5 years. As well as setting a long term 2050 goal we are also setting a shorter term objective for the period up to 2025 and 10 actions designed to help meet that objective. The principle of continuous improvement over the long term will be based on the scale currently used to assess Welsh language skills. Learning Welsh and facilitating its use by Welsh speakers in day to day work will be a business need across the organisation, and line managers will need to adhere to that principle by demonstrating personal leadership. Our focus will be on encouraging people to learn and to continuously improve. One of the most fundamental elements to the success of this strategy will be the learning and development on offer to staff across all levels of proficiency. We want and need more Welsh Government staff to have Welsh language skills they can use in the workplace. Our goal is to allow staff increased opportunities to acquire and then use their Welsh language skills in the workplace, and eventually allow for language choice. Our goal is to become a bilingual organisation by 2050, but over the first 5 years our objective is to see the Welsh Government become an exemplar organisation in increasing internal use of the language when assessed against comparable public sector organisations in Wales. The renewed focus on the language is to be led not just at the political level but also by senior officials. They will be expected to lead by example in promoting use of the language and making its importance to the organisation clear. These, in turn, contribute to reaching the 2050 goal. This strategy envisages reaching its goal more than 30 years from now, so for obvious reasons it will need to be periodically reviewed and changed. This will of course take time and will require a long term commitment (firstly) to continuously improving our language skills and (secondly) to developing a working culture that understands and respects bilingualism. The shorter term objective will be reviewed in 2025 and a new objective and associated actions will be set for the following 5 year period – a process that will continue until the 2050 goal is reached. They will help others to use, learn and improve their Welsh language skills – and develop skills of their own. This can be done in 2 ways; by existing staff starting to learn or improve and by more recruitment of those who already have Welsh language skills.

sterling silver claddagh ringsLONDON, Sept 27 (Reuters) – E-commerce giant Shopify is investing in wholesale platform Faire, the companies said on Wednesday, in a global deal that would see the start-up adopt Shopify technology for its clients. Faire, founded in 2017 and valued at $12.59 billion, would become the recommended wholesale marketplace for Shopify merchants. Small retailers, too, are trying to stand out amid intense competition on the high street and online. Faire, which focuses on independent businesses, says brands that previously only sold directly to consumers are switching to a wholesale model as they seek to curb their running costs. Faire said the most popular search filter on its platform is “Not on Amazon”, as retailers look to source less widely available products. For Shopify, which sells tools to create and manage online store-fronts, this is the latest in a series of deals. The company last year invested in U.S. Shopify’s director of product Aneeqa Khan said the partnership would make it easy for Shopify merchants to find wholesale buyers, and enable retailers to source from Faire’s network of brands. Organobismuth(III) dithiocarbamates are usually prepared by metathesis reactions between the corresponding organobismuth(III) halide and the sodium, potassium or ammonium dithiocarbamate. While a wide range of organometallic dithiocarbamates have been described, reports on organometallic bismuth(III) derivatives with dithiocarbamate ligands are however relatively scarce in the literature. So our goal is that the Welsh Government should gradually become a truly bilingual organisation; one in which it is routine for the Welsh and English languages to both be used naturally and interchangeably. Set in this context, the Welsh Government’s goal for the Welsh language within the organisation is that by 2050 all staff working for the Welsh Government will be able to understand Welsh. This is something we can all do together. This file may not be fully accessible. Welsh is spoken for cultural, commercial, social and emotional reasons, but it is also a vocational skill – a skill that should be better recognised and utilised.

It is something that can unite us as a nation. We know that what we do within the Welsh Government will influence other parts of the public sector in Wales. It is important to be clear what is meant by a bilingual organisation. With that in mind this strategy is underpinned by the following principles. We are conscious of how using Welsh in the workplace can give the language more purpose and relevance. The language is not exclusive to those who can speak it today. This is especially the case in so far as those learning Welsh in our schools are concerned, who should understand that the language will be a useful skill for them in the workplace. This has relevance that goes beyond being able to provide all outward facing services and internal formal communications in both languages. Statistics show that 86% of people across Wales feel that the language is something to be proud of. We need to establish a common understanding that the Welsh language belongs to us all whatever our linguistic background. Making a long term commitment and leading the way: change will be incremental and will happen over time, but we intend to lead by example in the way we promote use of the language in the workplace. Eventually a choice of language will be available operationally within the organisation, meaning we will be able to routinely choose whether to communicate (orally and in writing) in Welsh or English, or indeed both. However, we are conscious also that steps taken to increase use of the language must be reasonable and proportionate, which means that becoming a bilingual organisation will involve change that happens gradually. Investing in staff and providing opportunities to learn Welsh and develop language skills: it is crucial that effective and convenient training is provided, with people given both time and motivation to continuously improve their Welsh language skills. But while some are comfortable speaking Welsh – more often than not as the language was passed on to them by their families – many are not. This is why our long term goal is to become a bilingual organisation. Our strategy on the use of Welsh in the workplace is, in many respects, set by the political direction and legal framework that have already been established; to promote the language and to increase its use.

Raised in a Family of Silversmiths

A top Navajo silversmith, Thomas Curtis was one of the most respected jewelry designers of his time and still is one of the greatest master silversmiths younger jewelers look up to when it comes to handcrafted sterling silver jewelry. His cuff bracelets feature unique patterns that are characteristic of his keen eye on shape combinations and pattern coordination. Along with his handmade die sets, he used to wield chisels to carve silver flawlessly. It is not uncommon for Native American jewelry to feature precious gems and stones as well as colorful minerals in their design, which makes these pieces even more attractive for modern and fashion-conscious collectors. His hand-made die casts create interesting textures and add to the overall aesthetic of each piece. Thomas Curtis jewelry and authentic Navajo pieces are great additions to any jewelry collection, especially if you want to add color and elegance to your stash. If you want to purchase authentic Thomas Curtis jewelry, be sure to shop only at reputable online stores and suppliers of Native American jewelry pieces. He also used precious stones as centerpieces for many of his work, most commonly in belt buckles. Since his passing in 2013, there has been a great demand for his remaining handmade pieces, and while many are still available in the market, it won’t be long until the last of his work increases in price and value. Great cultural influences are evident in many Native American jewelry pieces, and the use of color isn’t a foreign concept, especially with designers who have expertise in stone inlaying and stone-setting techniques. Raised in a family of silversmiths, Thomas Curtis pursued jewelry making for more than 50 years and throughout his time as a jewelry designer, received countless accolades from various prestigious markets. Authentic Native American pieces are a welcome change to your jewelry collection, especially if you have only been collecting modern pieces. One of the most well-known artists who made every aspect of his pieces by hand, Thomas Curtis (T Curtis as his hallmark reads) even created handmade die sets, which he crafted from hardened steel and used to stamp his extraordinary silver – https://backtoglamour.com/blog/2022/08/20/silver-cubic-zirconia-necklaces/ – jewelry. His hand-tooled details best characterize Thomas Curtis’ style. Different artists use many interesting inspirations for their jewelry, giving your collection a unique flavor. Some use their ethnic origins to inspire their work while others depict nature in their designs.

"sterling silver charms bracelets"This choice will be made possible by all staff being able to at least understand Welsh. Our goal is to become a bilingual organisation by 2050, but over the first 5 years our objective is to see the Welsh Government become an exemplar organisation in increasing internal use of the language when assessed against comparable public sector organisations in Wales. One of the most fundamental elements to the success of this strategy will be the learning and development on offer to staff across all levels of proficiency. Both of these will be required, as – crucially – is plenty of time and support to adapt. The shorter term objective will be reviewed in 2025 and a new objective and associated actions will be set for the following 5 year period – a process that will continue until the 2050 goal is reached. This can be done in 2 ways; by existing staff starting to learn or improve and by more recruitment of those who already have Welsh language skills. We want and need more Welsh Government staff to have Welsh language skills they can use in the workplace. These, in turn, contribute to reaching the 2050 goal. The renewed focus on the language is to be led not just at the political level but also by senior officials. We envisage a process under which the strategy and changes in policy adopted under it are reviewed every 5 years. Our focus will be on encouraging people to learn and to continuously improve. The principle of continuous improvement over the long term will be based on the scale currently used to assess Welsh language skills. They will be expected to lead by example in promoting use of the language and making its importance to the organisation clear. As well as setting a long term 2050 goal we are also setting a shorter term objective for the period up to 2025 and 10 actions designed to help meet that objective. This strategy envisages reaching its goal more than 30 years from now, so for obvious reasons it will need to be periodically reviewed and changed. Our goal is to allow staff increased opportunities to acquire and then use their Welsh language skills in the workplace, and eventually allow for language choice. Learning Welsh and facilitating its use by Welsh speakers in day to day work will be a business need across the organisation, and line managers will need to adhere to that principle by demonstrating personal leadership. This will of course take time and will require a long term commitment (firstly) to continuously improving our language skills and (secondly) to developing a working culture that understands and respects bilingualism. They will help others to use, learn and improve their Welsh language skills – and develop skills of their own.

However this will be amended to introduce a new minimum level of “courtesy” Welsh and to more accurately reflect the notion of being able to understand written and spoken Welsh (which is what we need to enable bilingual working). However we will over time also need to recruit more people who already have Welsh language skills. However, we need to bear in mind, firstly, that this is a long term strategy and, secondly, that (although this has not been done consciously) our recruitment processes have at times put insufficient emphasis on the importance of Welsh language skills. The context for the Welsh Government becoming an exemplar organisation is that we are already committed to “leading by example” in so far as our internal use of Welsh is concerned. It has also been an important feature of European institutions. We also intend to make better use of technology to produce Welsh language material without always necessarily having to send work to translation services. We will focus on use of technology to make it easier to work in Welsh. Governments and other organisations in many countries already operate bilingually (or even multilingually) and what we propose for the Welsh Government is far from unique. The programme will acknowledge the fact that people learn differently by offering a range of learning methods, including face-to-face classes, e-learning, informal group conversations, mentoring and online networks. This will promote the value of the Welsh language to the organisation, and provide staff with a flexible and adaptable programme to address agreed organisational needs. In countries such as Canada, Belgium, Switzerland and the Basque Country working in two or more languages is considered to be normal and an inherent part of modern, representative government. The process of determining the actions in Chapter 3 has been informed by comparative analysis and most of the actions replicate existing good practice elsewhere in Wales (or internationally). There have in recent years been only limited opportunities to recruit new staff and we do not expect this to change significantly any time soon. Our starting point will be to continue to aim to recruit the best people regardless of their background, with new staff being welcomed and supported to improve their Welsh language skills. This will be made easier by increases in the number of Welsh speakers in society, in particular as more pupils leave school with improved skills. This means that we must have regard to initiatives already pursued by other public bodies. We will develop an innovative and wide-ranging choice of training.
