The US Food and Drug Administration is investigating Lucky Charms cereal after dozens of customers complained of illnesses after eating it. I had Lucky Charms for breakfast. On 4/15 continued to feel nauseous and then diarrhea began,’ a user from Rochester, New York, reported. Then it was like I had taken a preparation for colonoscopy! After that, about an hour or so later, I got diarrhea and bad gas,’ another person from Pittsburgh wrote. This is actually my second time experiencing symptoms after eating Lucky Charms and I am certain it is the cause! First looked like chicken noodle soup. The agency is currently reviewing and investigating these reports,’ an FDA spokeswoman said. The FDA takes seriously any reports of possible adulteration of a food that may also cause illnesses or injury,’ the agency said in a statement. While it is rare for people to get sick from eating breakfast cereal because cereal is baked, cereal can be contaminated after it is baked, typically when the puffs are glazed with a sugary coating or when it is packaged, food safety experts have said. Ate Lucky Charms for breakfast on 4/12 and 4/13. Started feeling very nauseous and bloated to the point where it felt I was in a big bear hug. The FDA said Saturday it has received more than 100 complaints related to Lucky Charms so far this year. Having extreme abdominal pains time I am holding on to the remaining cereal left in the Box and hoping to get it tested soon! Ohio reported to the website. It come out of nowhere lasted for a couple of days,’ wrote another reviewer in North Carolina. My son ate the Lucky Charms and later that day he was ill.
Patrick Quade, founder of the consumer website, said that as of Saturday, his site has received over 3,000 reports from people across the country who have said they got sick soon after eating Lucky Charms. The majority of those reports have been submitted over the last two weeks, which is the most complaints the decade-old website has ever received for a single product, according to the Wall Street Journal. General Mills said it encourages consumers to share their concerns directly with the company. In 2018, a salmonella outbreak traced to Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal left 135 people sick across 36 different states. Meanwhile, General Mills Inc., the Minneapolis-based company that makes Lucky Charms, Cheerios and other cereals, said it’s aware of those reports and takes them seriously. And in 2010, Kellogg recalled 28 million boxes of Froot Loops and other brands after complaints over the taste and smell, with some people claiming they got sick after eating it. But the company said its own investigation has not found any evidence of consumer illnesses linked to Lucky Charms. The problem was elevated levels of a food packaging substance in the cereal box lining, Kellogg found after an investigation into the claims.

A former jewelry store employee has candidly revealed how she used to catch men cheating on their partners. So post-grad, I decided that I was going to start working at a jewelry store. The number of men who I have caught cheating on their significant others through jewelry sales is absolutely insane. The content creator explained: ‘Now don’t get me wrong a lot of men did buy jewelry for their daughters – but this was different. The first indicator she noticed was men buying two separate pieces of jewelry opposed to a single set like people normally would. I would ask them questions about their daughter. She said she was appalled to find out how many men she would catch trying to cover their tracks when purchasing jewelry. He would start stuttering his words. He’d start looking around. With men stating their wives only like yellow gold jewelry they would purchase white gold necklaces out of nowhere – which was clearly for their secret lovers. I know some people don’t want all of their information out there but I was just making casual conversation while we’re going through the transaction and asking about family which you’re trained to do. The store worker explained how there are a range of telltale signs – including using two cards, lying about having daughters or buying random items that they have said their wife will not like. Sarah Renn, from Norfolk, Virginia, took to TikTok to share her tactics with her 107,600 followers. Sarah then posted a follow-up clip following the widespread interest in her insight. Trying to catch men out by quizzing them, Sarah would notice the secret cheaters would struggle to come up with a reason as to why they wanted to pay separately. You could tell that this was not for his wife because his demeanor would completely change,’ she added. In the original clip, which was viewed more than 1.7 million times, Sarah wasted little time in reeling off her thoughts. She began by asserting that another telltale sign would be men who would use two cards for two separate purchases in a bid to cover their tracks.

March 3 (Reuters) – Costco Wholesale Corp beat Wall Street estimates for quarterly revenue and profit on Thursday, as consumers returning to its stores bought more groceries and splurged on high-margin items such as jewelry and home furnishing goods. Sales at Costco, which relies heavily on customers seeking a treasure-hunt shopping experience at its cavernous warehouses, have benefited following the rollout of vaccines and easing of COVID-19 curbs. Comparable sales, excluding the impact of fuel and currency fluctuations, jumped 11.1% in the second quarter, compared with Refinitiv IBES estimates of an 8.74% rise. Still, shares of the retailer fell about 1% in extended trading as same-store sales growth in February slowed to 10.6% on an adjusted basis from 10.8% in January. There has been strong demand for high-margin items in recent months as social events and travel have resumed, boosting sales at retailers. Chief Financial Officer Richard Galanti said. Total revenue rose 16% to $51.90 billion in the second quarter from a year earlier. Net income rose to $1.30 billion, or $2.92 per share, in the quarter ended Feb. 13, from $951 million, or $2.14 per share, a year earlier. However, the company said it was still pressured by container delays, higher labor and freight costs and chip shortages, which were impacting deliveries. Analysts on average had expected $51.47 billion. Analysts were expecting it to report profit of $2.74 per share.
