Eight masked gunmen robbed a jewelers in New Jersey of around one million dollars worth of items in broad daylight during a 60-second operation. The employees looked on in horror as the robbers smashed nearly a dozen display cases in almost exactly one-minute’s time. Video shows the masked men stuffing bags full of golden necklaces, bracelets and bangles before fleeing the store. One can be seen dialing a number after a few moments, presumably to call the police, while the others look around at the damage. The woman wearing red lay motionless on the ground while glass shards rained down all around her. The store’s Instagram page shows some of their jewelry on display. Over 96 hours later and just more silence from Governor Phil Murphy,’ said Hirsh Singh, a political candidate running for state governor. CCTV showed the robbers running for the escape vehicle, jumping in the back of the car and speeding away. The shocked employees remained motionless for a few moments after the gunmen fled, processing the shock of the smash-and-grab attack. Virani Jewelers, an Indian business with only four retail stores, sells Indian-style antique jewelry, including diamonds, kundan, emerald, ruby, cubic zirconia, pearl and sapphire. Shouting it was time to go, the robbery ended almost as quickly as it began, with straggler gunmen remaining a few moments to scour whatever jewelry they could carry before scarpering. They came in like they owned the store, they’re like, “All right, everybody down,” breaking stuff, filling up their bags, walking away like they had no worries in the world,’ local Misbah Chaudhry told the New York Post. Footage shows the thugs pointing a gun at the employee nearest the door before knocking him off his chair, while another drags a female employee wearing a red dress to the floor. Terrified staff were forced to the ground at gun point during the robbery which happened at around 7:45pm last Friday on Oak Tree Road in Iselin.

Nicki Minaj is being sued by a jewelry store after allegedly not paying for loaned custom jewelry pieces, which they claim she failed to return on time and damaged. Meanwhile Minaj’s attorney, Jordan Siev, told TMZ hie client is not responsible and claims that the store is using her for publicity. This lawsuit appears to be nothing more than an ordinary insurance claim by the jeweler designed to generate publicity for itself and extract a payment to which it is not entitled. The lawsuit states that Nelson did not return 66 of the pieces by the deadline, and that when he did finally return them, two were noticeably damaged: a set of earrings and a leaf ring. They are suing both Nicki and her stylist for the sum. A source close to Minaj is denying the allegations and told the publication everything was returned on time, and that the store made a complaint about a missing stone only after the already had the pieces for a considerable length of time. A former jewelry store employee has candidly revealed how she used to catch men cheating on their partners. So post-grad, I decided that I was going to start working at a jewelry store. The number of men who I have caught cheating on their significant others through jewelry sales is absolutely insane. The content creator explained: ‘Now don’t get me wrong a lot of men did buy jewelry for their daughters – but this was different. The first indicator she noticed was men buying two separate pieces of jewelry opposed to a single set like people normally would. I would ask them questions about their daughter. She said she was appalled to find out how many men she would catch trying to cover their tracks when purchasing jewelry. He would start stuttering his words. He’d start looking around. With men stating their wives only like yellow gold jewelry they would purchase white gold necklaces out of nowhere – which was clearly for their secret lovers. I know some people don’t want all of their information out there but I was just making casual conversation while we’re going through the transaction and asking about family which you’re trained to do. The store worker explained how there are a range of telltale signs – including using two cards, lying about having daughters or buying random items that they have said their wife will not like. Sarah Renn, from Norfolk, Virginia, took to TikTok to share her tactics with her 107,600 followers. Sarah then posted a follow-up clip following the widespread interest in her insight. Trying to catch men out by quizzing them, Sarah would notice the secret cheaters would struggle to come up with a reason as to why they wanted to pay separately. You could tell that this was not for his wife because his demeanor would completely change,’ she added. In the original clip, which was viewed more than 1.7 million times, Sarah wasted little time in reeling off her thoughts. She began by asserting that another telltale sign would be men who would use two cards for two separate purchases in a bid to cover their tracks.

March 3 (Reuters) – Costco Wholesale Corp beat Wall Street estimates for quarterly revenue and profit on Thursday, as consumers returning to its stores bought more groceries and splurged on high-margin items such as jewelry and home furnishing goods. Sales at Costco, which relies heavily on customers seeking a treasure-hunt shopping experience at its cavernous warehouses, have benefited following the rollout of vaccines and easing of COVID-19 curbs. Comparable sales, excluding the impact of fuel and currency fluctuations, jumped 11.1% in the second quarter, compared with Refinitiv IBES estimates of an 8.74% rise. Still, shares of the retailer fell about 1% in extended trading as same-store sales growth in February slowed to 10.6% on an adjusted basis from 10.8% in January. There has been strong demand for high-margin items in recent months as social events and travel have resumed, boosting sales at retailers. Chief Financial Officer Richard Galanti said. Total revenue rose 16% to $51.90 billion in the second quarter from a year earlier. Net income rose to $1.30 billion, or $2.92 per share, in the quarter ended Feb. 13, from $951 million, or $2.14 per share, a year earlier. However, the company said it was still pressured by container delays, higher labor and freight costs and chip shortages, which were impacting deliveries. Analysts on average had expected $51.47 billion. Analysts were expecting it to report profit of $2.74 per share.
