The Debate Over “tender Beef”

"sterling silver custom bracelets"To increase the efficiency of administration and resolution of arbitrations, in the event 25 or more similar arbitration demands (those asserting the same or substantially similar facts or claims, and seeking the same or substantially similar relief) presented by or with the assistance or coordination of the same law firm(s) or organization(s) are submitted to NAM against Yahoo (“Mass Filing”), the parties agree (i) to administer the Mass Filing in batches of 100 demands per batch (to the extent there are between 25 and 100 demands filed, the batch will consist of all such demands; if fewer than 100 arbitration demands are left over after the batching described above, a final batch will consist of the remaining demands) with only one batch filed, processed, and adjudicated at a time; (ii) to designate one arbitrator for each batch; (iii) to accept applicable fees, including any related fee reduction determined by NAM in its discretion; (iv) that no other demands for arbitration that are part of the Mass Filing may be filed, processed, or adjudicated until the prior batch of 100 is filed, processed, and adjudicated; (v) that fees associated with a demand for arbitration included in a Mass Filing, including fees owed by Yahoo and the claimants, shall only be due after your demand for arbitration is included in a set of batch proceedings and that batch is properly designated for filing, processing, and adjudication; and (vi) that the staged process of batched proceedings, with each set including 100 demands, shall continue until each demand is adjudicated or resolved. Any disagreement between the parties as to whether this provision applies or as to the process or procedure for batching shall be resolved by a procedural arbitrator appointed by NAM. If your demand for arbitration is included in the Mass Filing, your claims will remain tolled until your demand for arbitration is decided, withdrawn, or settled. The arbitrator will determine the location where the proceedings will be conducted. If the batching provision in this subpart (iii) is found to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, then the entirety of this Arbitration Agreement shall be null and void, and neither you nor Yahoo shall be entitled to arbitrate any claim that is a part of the Mass Filing. This “Batch Arbitration” provision shall in no way be interpreted as increasing the number of claims necessary to trigger the applicability of NAM’s Mass Filing Supplemental Dispute Resolution Rules and Procedures or authorizing class arbitration of any kind. You agree to cooperate in good faith with Yahoo and the arbitration provider to implement such a “batch approach” or other similar approach to provide for an efficient resolution of claims, including the payment of combined reduced fees, set by NAM in its discretion, for each batch of claims. Arbitrator selection for each batch shall be conducted after the prior batch is adjudicated and to the greatest extent possible in accordance with the applicable NAM rules and procedures for such selection. The parties further agree to cooperate with each other and the arbitration provider or arbitrator to establish any other processes or procedures that the arbitration provider or arbitrator believe will provide for an efficient resolution of claims. The parties agree that this batching provision is integral to the Arbitration Agreement insofar as it applies to a Mass Filing.

Euro zone inflation held steady as expected in April but a crucial indicator on underlying price pressures slowed. The dollar index gained ground after economic data showed U.S. The euro is down 1.11% for the month and Sterling is down 1.02%, on track for its biggest monthly drop since September. Japan’s government bond (JGB) investors are looking for clues on the timing of a taper, which will lead to higher, more attractive yields, supporting the yen. Markets have continued to push back expectations for the timing of a rate cut this year, with odds for a cut in September of at least 25 basis points (bps) just slightly below 50%, according to CME Group’s FedWatch Tool. The yen weakened 0.88% against the greenback at 157.73 per dollar, but was still off its 34-year low of 160.245 hit on Monday when traders say yen-buying intervention by Tokyo drove a strengthening of about five yen. Erik Bregar, director of FX and precious metals risk management at Silver Gold Bull in Toronto. Japanese officials may have spent some 5.5 trillion yen ($35.05 billion) in supporting the currency on Monday, Bank of Japan data suggested on Tuesday. The dollar index gained 0.52% at 106.24, with the euro down 0.42% at $1.0674. This comes as the Fed begins its two-day monetary policy meeting on Tuesday, where it is widely expected to hold rates at 5.25%-5.5%, while comments from Chair Jerome Powell will be closely watched for signs of the central bank’s policy path in light of recent data on inflation and the labor market. Bank of America technical strategist Paul Ciana said in a note that a supported and stronger US dollar is the firm’s base case, and they still advocate for buying the greenback dips “in anticipation of another leg higher” in the second quarter. French and eurozone inflation data released on Tuesday boosts confidence the European Central Bank (ECB) will be able to start lowering interest rates in early June, said ECB policymaker Francois Villeroy de Galhau, while European Central Bank policymaker Pablo Hernandez de Cos said the ECB should start cutting interest rates in June if inflation continues its gradual decline as expected. Sterling weakened 0.49% at $1.2499. The dollar index was up 1.7% for April and poised for its biggest monthly gain since January.

"bali style sterling silver bracelet"You wouldn’t see Victoria Beckham doing that! Mrs Rooney – a one-time shop girl who used to earn £3.65 an hour – had previously also enjoyed trips to Barbados, the Glastonbury Festival, the South of France, and Dubai. Her duties since then have included opening stores. While talking of a Coleen Ladies Sweetie Bracelet and Watch Gift Set – again reduced from £24.99 to £19.99, the star explained: ‘You’ve got the best of both worlds. On Tuesday night Mrs Rooney appeared for the first time on Argos TV, the recently launched satellite shopping channel off-shoot of the struggling High Street store. Which one do you like? She spent £50,000 renting out a luxury yacht – plus cabin crew – for a week long break on the party for her and seven friends, including her brother Joe McLoughlin. The star explained to viewers: ‘I love working for Argos because lots of people can afford it. Mrs Rooney – whose own wedding ring is reputed to have cost £1million – happily advertised a selection of her budget wares. Together with her footballer husband, Coleen Rooney is estimated to be worth a cool £49million. She made her debut appearance for the firm’s TV station, which broadcasts on Ch642, live from Argos TV’s main studio in Kentish Town, North West London. Argos TV began airing in mid-June. These included a Coleen White Bracelet Rose Gold Round Dial Watch, reduced from £24.99 to £19.99, and Coleen Smokey Crystal Hoop Earrings, which were priced at £29.99. Instead, her mother Colette McLoughlin – a nursery nurse – provides the all-important advice. Mrs Rooney, though, also revealed she does not turn to her England footballer husband Rooney for inspiration when she is designing her collections. Mrs Rooney appeared alongside the main presenter to show off – and for the company’s sake hopefully sell – her latest jewellery range for the firm. Other gifts that Mrs Rooney was busy trying to sell included a Coleen Ladies Gift Set Watch and Handbag Charm, again reduced from £24.99 to £19.99. England striker Rooney is estimated to be worth £37million while Mrs Rooney’s wealth is said to add up to £12million. Less than two weeks ago Argos announced a slump, with like-for-like sales in the 13 weeks to 27 August falling 8.6 per cent. Describing a Coleen Ladies Rose Gold Bracelet Watch (again priced £24.99), Mrs Rooney explained: ‘I took inspiration for this watch from another watch I have, which is slightly more expensive. ‘I wear a watch every day and evening because you need to know the time, don’t you? Mrs Rooney first signed a deal to create her own jewellery with Argos in 2008. At the time, she signed a £500,000 contract to help make her own necklaces, bracelets and earrings. ‘My mum’s opinion is the one that really counts,’ she explained. Mrs Rooney last month returned from a holiday in Ibiza, her fifth vacation of the summer. And Argos will be hoping Mrs Rooney’s appearance leads to a sale surge for the firm. At one point, Mrs Rooney also appeared to make an admission that her Argos jewellery range was not necessarily what she wore personally. Tuesday night’s appearance on the channel was Mrs Rooney’s first.

The Cardigan singer and the 34-year-old tight end were initially linked in September of last year, when rumors about their relationship began to spread. Reuters reported on Wednesday that the United Nations would have to cut food rations to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh from $12.50 to $6 per month in April after failing to secure funding. Reuters it was likely as the United States had been the top donor in the Rohingya crisis. The funding cuts in March come during the holy month of Ramadan and the WFP estimates it will need $15 million in April to sustain full rations. While the WFP has not specified whether the reduction was due to the Trump administration’s decision to cut U.S. Dom Scalpelli, WFP Country Director in Bangladesh, said in a statement. World Food Programme (WFP) called on Friday for urgent funding for its Bangladesh operations, warning that a funding deficit would curb rations for the Rohingya in the world’s largest refugee settlement. The WFP said it had already started communicating with the Rohingya community about the potential ration cuts. Growing hunger in their home state of Rakhine in Myanmar drove out a majority of the 70,000 Rohingya who arrived in Bangladesh last year, Reuters reported.

How to Clean Sterling Silver and Keep it Shining

"sterling silver jade 18k ring"Cleaning sterling silver – simply click the next internet page backtoglamour.com – regularly is key to preventing tarnish. Tarnish refers to the darkened or discolored layer on sterling silver items like jewelry and flatware caused by oxidation. What Is Sterling Silver? Stir the dish soap into the water just enough for bubbles to form. Cleaners range from commercial silver cleaners to homemade solutions using natural, less harsh ingredients such as baking soda, lemon juice, and dishwashing liquid. Several cleaning methods easily remove tarnishing and keep the metal looking new and shiny. Keep reading to learn how to clean sterling silver using simple methods and common items in your household pantry. Place your sterling silver pieces inside the bowl and let them soak in the dish soap solution for up to 10 minutes. Pure silver has the highest content of silver, typically 99.9%, which results in a higher price tag, and a silver-plated item is made from a different metal and coated with sterling silver. To remove dust, sticky residue, and light tarnish from sterling silver, you can use dish soap and warm water. Fill a bowl with warm water and add two or three drops of dish soap.

Mix one part water and three parts baking soda in a small bowl.

"sterling silver jewelry designer"Take the pieces out of the bowl. Add the silver to the water and baking soda solution. Add the silver and let it soak for two to three hours. While this is a highly effective cleaning method, it is not recommended for fine sterling silver. Add a boost of abrasiveness by mixing a tablespoon of kosher salt into the baking soda and water. Combine two pantry staples to make this homemade cleaning solution. Mix one part water and three parts baking soda in a small bowl. Rinse the sterling silver pieces under warm water to remove dish soap suds, then dry them thoroughly using a microfiber cloth. Line a bowl with aluminum foil, fill with boiling water, and add 1 tablespoon of baking soda per cup of water. Wet the silver and use a soft microfiber cloth or non-abrasive sponge to apply the paste, working it in one small area at a time and gently rubbing it in circles to remove the tarnish. Make an inexpensive homemade cleaning paste with baking soda and water. Add 1 quart of warm water, 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar, and 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a large bowl. Rinse the silver under cold water and dry with a microfiber cloth. Remove the silver from the solution with plastic-tipped tongs and buff with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Grab a clean, dry microfiber cloth and dip it in the lemon juice-olive oil solution. Avoid using any harsh drying cloth that can cause scratches or leave lint behind. Let the silver soak until no more tarnish is visible. Mix 1/2 cup of lemon juice with 1 teaspoon olive oil in a bowl. Make sure the item is touching the aluminum foil. Use vinegar, baking soda, and water for a sterling silver cleaner. Rinse off the baking soda paste with cool water and immediately use a microfiber cloth to dry and buff the silver to shine.

Once the paste dries, rub it off and rinse.

Buff the mixture into the silver using a gentle, circular motion. Use the cloth to rub off dirt and tarnish from the silver. The cloth is infused with polishing agents. Using a non-abrasive sponge, gently rub in circles to remove the tarnish and rinse the sponge as the tarnish is transferred. Wash the silver in warm, soapy water and rinse to remove dust. Make a paste by mixing one part lemon juice and four parts baking soda in a small bowl. Combine 3 parts water and 1 part cornstarch in a small bowl to create a paste. Use a clean microfiber cloth to dry and buff the silver to shine. Make a quick cleaning paste out of cornstarch and water. Use plain non-gel toothpaste that does not contain additional whitening ingredients and be sure to work on clean, rinsed silver. Once the paste dries, rub it off and rinse. Take the polishing cloth out of the packaging. Use a damp non-abrasive sponge to apply the paste to the silver. Combine baking soda and lemon juice for a homemade silver cleaner. Rinse away the paste with cool water, and use a microfiber cloth to dry and buff the silver to shine. Purchase a silver polishing cloth that contains a polishing solution to clean tarnished silver in seconds. Don’t rinse the cloth as that will remove the polishing agents. Rinse under warm water and dry the silver with a clean microfiber cloth.

Place a dab of toothpaste on a clean microfiber cloth. Rinse away the toothpaste with warm water and dry the silver with a microfiber cloth. Store sterling silver in anti-tarnish clothes to prevent air from darkening the surface. Wash the silver in warm, soapy water to remove dust and dirt using a non-abrasive sponge to prevent scratching. Additionally, wear cotton or synthetic fiber gloves when cleaning silver. Use a non-abrasive sponge or soft microfiber cloth to wipe away the tarnish. Apply a thin layer of ketchup to the silver and set aside for 15 minutes. Do not wear rubber gloves, which can sometimes react with sterling silver. Many DIY cleaning methods can work for sterling silver. Work in a small area of the silver at a time and gently rub in circles to remove the tarnish. Liquid cleaners or wipes are better than paste for ornate silver, which can get trapped in crevices. Wash the silver in warm, soapy water, rinse, and buff dry with a soft microfiber cloth. Silver does not tarnish permanently. Does vinegar damage sterling silver? What is the best DIY cleaner for sterling silver? Yes, toothpaste can be used to clean sterling silver, but make sure to use plain non-gel toothpaste that does not contain additional whitening ingredients. Can toothpaste clean sterling silver? Clean well-used sterling silver pieces monthly to maintain a shine. Follow the instructions for the commercial silver polish you’ve selected. Most commercial silver cleaners remove tarnish and add shine. How can I get tarnish off of sterling silver? Vinegar is safe for cleaning sterling silver but only use distilled white vinegar. Wash silver regularly to keep tarnish away; the frequent use and cleaning causes natural friction to deter tarnish. Add silica gel packets where you store your silver to absorb the moisture that speeds up tarnish development. Tarnish can be removed from sterling silver using homemade or commercial cleaning solutions. For light cleaning, use a bath of dishwashing liquid and water, and scrub away tarnish with a soft brush. This one-ingredient cleaning method couldn’t be easier.

The 14-carat Gold Piece

Queen Mary of Denmark recently turned heads in a new portrait with King Frederik, not just for her crisp white dress but also her choice of accessory. While the Princess always impresses with her sartorial choices, we have a special fondness for her choice of finishing touches, perfectly exemplified in this Daniella Draper alphabet letter necklace. A gift for Camilla, the initials stood for Fred and Gladys, their pet names for each other. The bracelet was delivered to Buckingham Palace, alongside wedding gifts, and fell into the hands of Diana. Her 9-carat astrological accessory has been engraved with ‘G C L’ for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. A few weeks before marrying Diana, Charles commissioned a bracelet inscribed with the letters ‘F’ and ‘G’. Kate most recently showcased her ‘Midnight Moon’ necklace, which retails for £1,100, in a family video celebrating her chemotherapy treatment milestone. However, it was her sentimental cuff, adorned with her daughters’ names, Eugenie and Beatrice, that caught fans’ attention. Worn twice in the autumn of 2020, this dainty personalised necklace by All The Falling Stars was gifted to Kate during a tour of Galway, Ireland, in March of the same year. Similarly, members of the British Royal Family often showcase personalised jewellery with deep personal significance. When she confronted Charles about the bracelet, he described it as gesture of gratitude to a friend. The 14-carat gold piece, costing £75, bears three round discs, engraved with the initials of her children. We explore some standout examples – from Queen Camilla to Princess Kate – below. Its most recent appearance carried extra weight, symbolising the couple’s enduring bond following last year’s rumours surrounding King Frederik and Genoveva Casanova. First spotted in 2005, this bracelet remains a testament to Sarah’s devotion to her children. Mary has worn this necklace over 115 times, including at major events such as King Charles’ coronation. The bateaux neckline drew attention to a delicate £545 Halberstadt necklace, bearing an ‘F’ initial as a heartfelt nod to her husband. Weeks before marrying Diana, Charles commissioned a bracelet inscribed with the letters ‘F’ and ‘G’. A loyal fan of British jewellery designer Daniella Draper, the Princess of Wales has worn this particular pendant 13 times to date. At the Cannes Film Festival, the Duchess of York dazzled in a cape dress worth £13,200.

Ramiz Chelat, portfolio manager at Vontobel, an investor in Nike.

Nike on Thursday forecast a steeper drop in fourth-quarter revenue than analysts had expected, striking a cautious tone as it works to rekindle interest among consumers who have defected to trendier rivals. The results beat Wall Street expectations of an 11.5% revenue drop to $11.01 billion, and a 62.2% dive in earnings per share, according to data compiled by LSEG. With rivals On and Hoka retaining their freshness in the eyes of consumers, analysts and investors heading into the quarter had anticipated that Nike’s turnaround will take a few more quarters. Friend said on the call. China remained a particular drag. Shares of the leading shoe and apparel brand dropped in after-hours trade following Nike’s third-quarter earnings call, in which Chief Financial Officer Matthew Friend said he expects fourth-quarter revenue to decline in the mid-teens percentage range. This year Nike ran its first Super Bowl ad in 27 years, featuring female stars like Caitlin Clark who has turbo-charged the popularity of the Women’s National Basketball Association. Demand in the region suffers from concerns over job and wage security and a prolonged property slump. In five months on the job, he has stressed the need to turn Nike’s focus back to its core business of sport and to repair its relationships with retailers, which suffered when ex-CEO John Donahoe shifted the company’s focus to direct-to-consumer sales. Ramiz Chelat, portfolio manager at Vontobel, an investor in Nike. That might go on for a while, Friend said. The quarter was marked by a boost in marketing and advertising efforts, the area “we knew could move quickest” to connect with consumers, Hill said on the call. But next quarter may look bleak, Friend said, as the company discounts old items in an effort to clear old inventory, and continues to rebuild relationships with retailers. In the call, Hill outlined what he called Nike’s “Win Now” strategy, a five-pillared plan that includes building out a broad swath of new shoe products and boosting its ground game in five key cities: Shanghai, Beijing, Los Angeles, New York and London. The newly launched sneakers, fast-tracked by new CEO Elliott Hill, have performed well enough to give Nike some breathing room after several quarters of weak demand. Hill took the helm in October to lead a turnaround at a company that has lately struggled to design new, innovative shoes. Overall revenues were down 9% to $11.27 billion, with diluted earnings per share falling 30% to 54 cents. That would exceed analyst expectations for a 12.22% decline to $11.07 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG. Still, revenues remain pressured by discounts on legacy franchises like Air Jordan 1, Air Force 1 and Dunk. Shares of the Air Jordan maker rose immediately following the earnings report but then reversed course after the forecast, falling nearly 5% from $71.86 at the close. Revenues “will begin to moderate” after the fourth quarter, Friend said. Gross margin fell 330 basis points to 41.5%, with Nike primarily attributing it to higher discounts, an excess of outdated inventory and increased product costs. Earlier, Nike reported third-quarter results that beat expectations on a promising consumer response to new shoe launches like the Pegasus Pro and Vomero 18. Revenue in China, though, was down 17%, which worried investors.

Commander Marshall said organised crime syndicates use a variety of methods to try to smuggle large amounts of drugs into Australia and that the drugs seized would have been distributed across Australia and not just in WA. The next afternoon, (Wednesday, 8 February, 2023), a seven-metre boat was found overturned off Peaceful Bay, about 45km west of Denmark. How and where this particular batch of cocaine was dropped in the ocean is still being investigated and is now part of a international inquiry. Investigators on Tuesday announced the seizure of 365kg of cocaine they suspect was being transported on the trio’s seven-metre vessel. Just as importantly, the transnational serious organised criminals who prey on Australia are undermining our national security, economy and social security system. AFP acting Commander Graeme Marshall urged the three men to contact police. We are also appealing for anyone else to call us if they have information to help us find the men, or know anything about this drug importation,’ he said. But their claim they were on a fishing trip was immediately treated with scepticism by police who said it was ‘inconsistent’. The third man, Aristides Avlonitis, 36, is believed to be in the Northern Territory. The AFP estimated the seizure has saved the community around $235million in drug-related harm, including associated crime, healthcare and loss of productivity. Six days later, a black plastic-wrapped package containing multiple smaller packages of cocaine washed ashore near Denmark,’ the AFP said. He said there is a perception held by some ‘that cocaine is a safe drug. Superintendent Shaun Senior of the Australian Border Force said it continuously monitors vessels operating in and around shipping lanes, ports and harbours across Australia to identify suspicious activity. Two of the men who police want to speak to, Mate Stipinovich, 49, and Karl Whitburn, 45, are from WA. Let me be clear – it is not. The AFP and our partners will continue to target and disrupt criminals based locally and offshore who are importing drugs, to ensure we can protect the Australian community,’ Commander Marshall said. One of the WA men is the registered owner of the boat where the cocaine was found. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police. The AFP has called for the public’s assistance to help locate the men who officers want to speak to about the shipment. But exactly how the the drugs were dropped in the water is still being investigated.

BEIJING (AP) – NBA teams could be fined up to $10 million for tampering and up to $6 million for entering into unauthorized agreements with players, a person with knowledge of the league’s plans told The Associated Press on Saturday. In addition, teams will have to require its governor, top basketball operations executive and negotiators to certify annually that they did not talk to free agents or their representatives before the league rules allow. So the league wants to hit rule breakers where it hurts most – the checkbook, and possibly beyond. Silver said in July that changes have to be made to the free-agent process after several deals were clearly struck before the negotiating period started on June 30 at 6 p.m. 20. The league sent a memo to teams on Friday detailing the proposed fines, according to the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the details were not to be released publicly. And with every player contract signed, each team’s governor will have to certify that no unauthorized benefits were offered and no rules were broken. In the first 90 minutes of free agency this summer, at least $1.4 billion in contracts were committed to across the league – and those were just the ones known about. If a team enters into an unauthorized deal with a player, it can be fined up to $6 million – and the player can get hit with a $250,000 fine as well. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in July after the board of governors met and talked about ways to adjust that process in an effort to ensure fairness across the league. And a rule violation with no specific penalty could merit a $10 million fine, up from $2.5 million – the amount that Silver fined former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling while banning him for life from the NBA in 2014 after he was found to have made racist remarks. The NBA has been largely powerless to stop the practice, which has gone on for years and seemed to be particularly out of control this summer. The Athletic first reported the memo’s existence. Statements or conduct detrimental to the NBA could come with a $5 million fine now, up from the previous ceiling of $1 million. EDT. In theory, teams couldn’t talk to free agents before that time – which would mean that actually striking deals before then would be impossible. The memo addresses what the league called a “widespread perception that many of the league’s rules are being broken on a frequent basis” when it comes to tampering, salary cap matters and the timing of free agency discussions. Other maximum-fine levels could be raised significantly as well, provided the league’s board of governors approves the measures Sept. The league also has other penalties within its reach, such as forfeiture or transfer of draft picks, suspensions, voiding of contracts and prohibiting teams from hiring the person they tampered with. Fines for tampering with players or team personnel could go as high as $10 million, double the current limit.
